Every panel, event, or workshop offered something to learn from, and LLNN captured a shot of the weekend's panels with a brief description of each session.  Explorations for 2003 delved straight into the heart of current fandom that lies in the surging excitement of manga, voice acting, cosplay, reminiscing about all of 2003's awesome anime con circuit, as well as new and exciting venues to focus on for the next year.

Making Cool AMVs: AMVs are everywhere, but how many are the true jems to keep?  Plenty of experts filled the room and discussed popular music choices, pacing and direction, getting rid of annoying subtitles, editing tips, adding cool effects, popular use of compression formats, and best editing platforms.  The panels also included plenty of AMV examples of what to do and most definitely what not to do.

Really Deep Anime: Panelists and attendees delved deep into the heart of religion, technology, influences of east and western beliefs and pop cultures, and much more.  Anime shows that frequently fill up the deep regions of the mind and boggle all sorts of viewers included Lain, FLCL, Initial D, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Gundam, Grave of the Fireflies, and the all-time deepest: Neon Genesis Evangelion.

DDR Pad Modification: DDR pad losing its stick?  Suffering from a rumpled pad?  Panelists taught DDR enthusiasts how to modify your own store-bought DDR pad and make it more durable and resistant to heavy use.  Workshop included a full modification of a simple DDR pad into a very firm and stiff playable DDR board using low-cost materials.
Manga Drawing Techniques: Experienced professional artist Bruce Lewis led this highly introspective discussion on the proper techniques towards making your own manga.  Rules of engagement: stop copying, don't be too close-minded, learn to draw real people before drawing anime characters, focus on printed comics first, and learn to build your own light boxes for heavy manga drawing use.
Additional panels and discussions featured over the weekend included: Magical Musicals, Translation and Adaptations, CPF Films, Miyazaki Films, Writing FanFictions, Cyborg 009, Gainax, Main Moon, Anthropomorhics, Dubs That Time Forgot, Inking, and much more.
