|From building your own
costume to drawing manga, everyone starts out by learning the basics, making mistakes, and
building skills to become instructors or leaders that others look up to for advice. The
workshops were certainly the best place to be able to learn from the best of the best on the
American front as the consistently packed rooms can prove.
| Animation Workshop with
Scott Frazier: Detailed lessons were given and put to practice for the audience on learning
basic team techniques applied to creating a good animation show. The room was broken
up into teams using the best skills applied to mecha design, character design, and story
writing, while Scott highlighted the significance of good writing, a realistic budget,
simplicity of art, concepts and general direction, production, planning and development that
is very important to inspire a show worthy enough to watch and enjoy.
to Draw Comics the Manga Way: The Haze Man strikes again as he gives a packed audience
lessons on shapes and lines to draw heads and eyes, and then slowly but surely progressing
towards drawing bodies and good poses. A great class taught by an experienced anime
fan artist for the eager beginners yearning to breathe some life into those timid hands or
for those needing to brush up on their manga art skills.
