KatsuCon 9 had wealth of activities available for the casual and active fans around the hotel and convention halls.  Convention highlights included Karaoke Night, Gaming Tournaments, Duel Jewel's Acoustic Concert, chat sessions with numerous popular US Voice Actors and Actresses, three video rooms to choose from to watch the latest titles straight from the top tier anime distributors, a fan swap meet, Art Show to bid on awesome pieces of fan art for sale or auction, and lots more!

Convention Extras

Gaming Tournaments: With prizes donated by Video Game Players Association, Red Octane, USS THOR, Katsucon Entertainment, Starland Video Games, a whopping 20 gaming tournaments around the clock filled up the weekend halls with games including Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, Mario Party 4, Dance Dance Revolution Champion Tournament, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Tekken 4, Robotech: The Call to Arms, Super Smash Bros Melee, Wrestlemania X8, X-Men: Next Dimension, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, House of the Dead 3, Red Faction II, Dead or Alive 3, DragonBall Z, Unreal: Championship, Guilty Gear X2, Black and Bruised, Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball, and Godzilla.  As a major plus for charity, proceeds from a raffle to win a Sony PlayStation 2 from Starland Video Games went to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  Tabletop Gaming also enjoyed a healthy room full of participating members taking turns at cards, mini-tournaments, and various popular anime Role Playing Games.

Autographs: Whether for Cosplay Night or the Dealers Hall, lines wrapped everywhere, some short and some long, and staffers kept the fans happy with cool cups of water.  KatsuCon 9 Guests of Honor kept those lines brimming full as they had scheduled signings throughout the weekend.  Guests included: members of Duel Jewel, Hiroaki Inoue, Tsukasa Kotobuki, Kazuki Kotobuki, Shiki Satoshi, Akira Sasaki, John Barrett, Fred Gallagher, Kristen Nelson, Mark Rogers, Sean Schemmel, Stephanie Sheh, Mike Sinterniklass, and many more.

Karaoke Fever: Whew! Whatta tiring weekend!  Wait, did we hear tired?  The weekend hasn't even wound down with lots of fans showing up for the Katsucon Karaoke Night in the main events ballroom.  Attendees could get a chance to go on stage and sing their hearts out to their favorite songs of J-Rock, J-Pop, anime, or whatever!
