Friday Panels


*The Anime Trivia Quiz Show* was one of first panels of the day to kick off social events of the fun-filled weekend. Gathering in a large crowd, contestants were quizzed on various anime and manga subjects of this year and years' past. Think you got what it takes to show off your otaku knowledge base? Well, you know where to go then!

*Guest of Honor Spotlight: Amanda Winn Lee* (center) and *Tiffany Grant* (right) lead the discussion into their professional and personal experiences and adventures as voice actresses and directorial debuts in the anime industry, complete with peeks into upcoming projects and future aspirations.	*Guest of Honor Spotlight: Fred Patten* (left) and *Gilles Poitras* (right) discussed their outlook on the future of the anime and manga industry. As resident anime and manga librarians, they expressed some concern at the lack of text information on the Internet, finding tons of screenshots and not enough helpful information when it comes to learning about a new show. This concern gave them initiative to help drive efforts to publish anime encyclopedias and other learning projects for the English-speaking population.


*Cel Collectors Panel* gathered in a crowd of fans and dealers alike who wanted to show off their prized treasures: painted acrylic trophies worth hundreds of dollars and many adventurous stories to tell about how much the owners loved the anime shows.
