And the show is on! 99 entries for the Anime North 2002 Masquerade kept the audience occupied with tons of colorful walk-on costumes and skit presentations from all walks of life. Entries from the evening included anime, J-Rock, and video game numerous characters from: Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Digi Charat, Tonde Burrin, Dragon Ball Z, Akira, Bondage Kitties, Saber Marionette J, X the TV series, Cowboy BeBop, Inuyasha, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ah! My Goddess, Soul Caliber, Slayers, Final Fantasy 7, Vampire Princess Miyu, Ranma 1/2, Trigun, Ronin Warriors, Weib Kreus, Angelic Layer, Hellsing, Street Fighter II, Final Fantasy X, Angel Sanctuary, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Dir en Gray, Fushigi Yugi, Rurouni Kenshin, Magical Knights Rayearth, Gundam Wing, Evangelion, Pokemon, Sakura Taisen, Vision of Escaflowne, Tenshi Ni Narumon, and many more!

Below are just a few highlights of those amazing cosplay skit presentations and walk-ons for the Masquerade Night!

Kamui's life is portrayed in an interpretative dance between good and evil forces from X.	Characters from Utena gather together to show their cheerleading spirit for the world revolution!	Sailor Uranus is pissed! But not before that infamous Happy Happy Joy Joy song takes over her body in this extremely funny skit!

Various anime villains attend Bad Guy Therapy where Quistis Trepe attempts to yet again deal with their mental ailments and help them through the healing process.	Characters from Hellsing perform a funny operatic stage melody with singing hand!	J-Rock characters come together to show Dir en Gray how to dance along with a little bit of bishuonen boy band flirting. Oh ha!

Another lovely interpretative dance by the angelic character Windy from Card Captor Sakura captivates the audience.	A plan for world domination through anime by Excel Saga characters goes wrong, but the kawaii spirit and happiness is alive!	It's time to get genki! With an island dance beat and smiles, this group of anime characters got the audience clapping all the way!

Who's line is it anyway? Characters from Slayers say the oddest things with lines you'd never hear from the regular show!	It's a Digi Charat dance night as characters from the show perform a cool stage dance musical to the show's theme!	Auron teaches lessons to Final Fantasy X characters on how to properly pick up women with plenty of help from the moogles.

Another wild disease invades Canada as characters from Tenshi ni Narumon take to the stage with the sensational Yatta! song and dance!	It's boogy time madness! Characters from Angelic Layer try to improve their battle poses with the Macarena dance!	Gundam Wing makes a grand entrance in the final entry of the night!
Numerous prizes and awards were handed out afterwards to all the entries involved. Congratulations to all the participants of the Anime North Masquerade and especially to all those who delighted with audience with those awesome stage presentations!
