Packing in the attendees, every panel, event, or activity offered something to learn from, whether you were into the discussion subject or not, as shown below with a brief description of each session.  This weekend's explorations delved straight into the heart of current fandom interests, reminiscing about all of the awesome anime con circuit, as well as new and exciting venues to focus on for the next year.

Anime FanFiction: From rec.arts.anime to the birth and maturity of the web medium, fan fiction has grown by leaps and bounds and panelists talked about the history of the fanfic community, fan-fiction.net, additional web resources, and trends that authors take throughout the years.


Viz Communications: More Hamtaro?  You got it!  Viz Communications representatives talked about their newest titles and  releases like Inu Yasha and Hamtaro as well as status reports on graphics novels, card games, soundtrack work, and much more.
Hana Yori Dango: Marisa Price, Casey Boomer, and HYD friends led a big panel on this amazing drama / comedy about a girl and her struggles through school.  Highlights included raffle prizes of posters, memo pads, sketchpads, card sets, books, and manga, and even had a cool screening of Hana Yori Dango Anime Music Videos!
Con Summit and Running a Con: Representatives and fans from Anime Expo, Otakon, Anime North, Anime Boston, Genericon, ShoujoCon, YuriCon, Fanime, Yaoi-con, Anime Next, and Project A-kon all gathered to talk about their 2 year effort to work together for the first time on making AXNY a reality for charity and as well as planting the seeds of anime cons for future con staffers.
