of Honor Panels: Crowded
to the walls with standing room only at many times, the guest focus panels held exclusive
Q&A sessions all weekend for the excited convention attendees wishing to speak to their
mentors and anime gods. Discussions included favorite characters, new projects,
questions about existing anime characters, how they became involved in the anime industry,
schools they went to, day in the life of anime work, worldwide travels, what they thought of
anime fans in America (good things!), and balancing it out with their personal lives.
Guests of Honor for the weekend's scheduled sessions included: Shinichiro Watanabe, Yoko
Kanno, Toshihiro Kawamoto, Atsushi Takeuchi, Tommy Ohtuksa, Yoshihiro Komada, Taro Maki,
Koji Sugiura, Noburo Ishiguro, Yoshiyuki Tomino, Akitaroh Daichi, Takao Koyama.

Manga
Entertainment: Keith Burgess talked about future projects, answered fan concerns about
DVD extras, and announced new releases including Tokyo Revelation, End of Evangelion the
Movie, Street Fighter 2, Astroboy, Red Hawk and many more.

Webcomics: Moderated
by Josh Mirman, webcomic creators from various schools of visual arts in Hong Kong, New
Jersey, Canada, and Boston gathered to talk about dreams of manga prints, anime fandom,
freelancing, plans to continue after college, and additional portals from which to find new
webcomics.

Overview of the
Japanese Language: Roehl Sybing led a comprehensive class on teaching the audience on
complicated grammar of Japanese as well as proper usage of honorifics, formal vs. informal
speaking, nuances, familiar greetings and common phrases.

TokyoPop: Representatives were on hand to cover the audience questions on updates and
new releases like Initial D's naming conventions, balance between the hardcore fans and
mainstream markets, overseas distribution challenges and obstacles, and thoughts and plans
for the future.
