world of anime and manga character design. Always one of the hardest and hottest jobs
in the anime industry. Topics featured writer's compatibility with inspired character
designs, processing the right designs for story and animation, keeping aware of cosplay and
doujinshi markets, and keeping the fans excited abut designs that are colorful and stay true
to the intended characters' behavior, motivations, and overall story plot.

Anime Hero with a
Thousand Faces: Anime
Voice Actor Crispin Freeman led an engaging panel session detailing how mythological
journeys are told and retold in anime. A video of Joseph Campbell's "Power of
Myth" was shown followed by group discussion about the differences and similarities
between eastern and western religions and why mythology makes Americans write about
Superheroes and the Japanese about Giant Robots. Always an absolutely must-see session
for the anime and manga enthusiasts.
