What can anyone say about the biggest event of the weekend, the Masquerade? By far it is the largest and most anticipated event ever for anime fans from all walks of life and this year's AX2003 was perhaps the biggest yet!

Drama! Romance! Music! Following are just some of the highlights of those amazing
skits and craftsmanship walk-ons for this year's Masquerade.


The AX2003 Masquerade night opened up with the Golden Tiger Theater Percussion Ensemble from Delano High School performing the musical theme from XenoSaga!	The Light Warriors reenacted the dark and perilous journey of popular characters from Kingdom Hearts with sword fights and powerful dialogue. *Winner!* Best of Show, Presentation	Angels from Wish were bestowed upon the stage as they danced to the tune of Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel.

Mini-Magical Girls introduced all the characters from Tokyo Mew Mew and their cute magical powers. *Winner!* Best of Show, Junior/Youth	U.F.O. with characters from Pita Ten led a whimsical barter exchange of Hentai for Yaoi for those maturing anime fan minds! *Winner!* Max & Debbie Callahan's Judge's Award, Presentation	Bika cosplay group displayed all the popular characters from Miyazaki's latest award-winning hit Spirited Away. *Winner!* Best of Show, Group Craftsmanship

Master Zero represented the Peace and Love wesside rhythms 'o Gundam Wing cosplay.	The war is not over as Masqued Bandits reintroduced characters Dilandau and Van fighting it out in a tiny little sequel to the Escaflowne series. *Winner!* Design Award, Craftsmanship	With violin concerto and acrobatics, Neo Princess Sailor Neptune demonstrated her colorful skills to the tune of Enya.
